The fox seemed perplexed, and very curious.

“一点不错，”狐狸说，“对我来讲，你不过是个小男孩，就和其他千万个小男孩一样。我不需求你，你也一样不需求我。对你来讲，我也不过是一只狐狸，和其他千万只狐狸一样。但是，如果你顺服了我，我们就相互不成贫乏了。对我来讲，你就是天下上独一的了，我对你来讲也是天下上独一的了。”
"Please― tame me!" he said.
“正因为你为你的玫瑰破钞了时候，这才使你的玫瑰变得如此首要。”
“在阿谁星球上，有猎人吗？”
“这也是一种常常被忽视的事。”狐狸说，“它就是使某一天与其他日子分歧，使某一时候与其他时候分歧。比如说，那些猎人就有一种典礼。他们每礼拜四都和村庄里的女人们跳舞。因而，礼拜四就是一个夸姣的日子！我能够一向漫步到葡萄园去。如果猎人们不在牢固的时候跳舞，每天又全都一样，那么我也就没有假日了。”

“人，”狐狸说，“他们有枪，他们还打猎，这真碍事！他们也豢养鸡，这些就是他们全数兴趣，你是来寻觅鸡的吗？”
“再去看看那些玫瑰花吧。你必然会明白，你的那朵是天下上独一无二的玫瑰。你返来和我告别时，我再赠送给你一个奥妙。”
